Therapy Dogs

Amy has two dogs certified with Therapy Dog International, the leader in therapy dogs certification. These highly trained, certified and insured dogs can come into an appointment should you require therapy.

"Therapy Dogs International (TDI) is a volunteer organization dedicated to regulating, testing and registration of therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers for the purpose of visiting nursing homes, hospitals, other institutions and wherever else therapy dogs are needed.' www.tdi-dog.org

Therapy Dogs Specialize with:

- Emotional Support with Anxiety, Claustrophobia, Fear
- Providing Comfort
- Improving Confidence
- Lowering blood pressure and perceived pain
- Increasing release of Oxycontin and endorphins

Some clients have found that laying flat with their eye closed can raise anxiety and cause almost a claustrophobic response. Most client get comfortable after about 5 minutes and majority of clients fall asleep. Receiving eyelash extensions is very relaxing. However, if you have a history of claustrophobia or anxiety it can be helpful, especially on you first visit, to have a therapy dog you can pet while you are getting your eyelashes done. Please request this ahead of time if this is something you desire.
